The Heron 3.0 is a compact, efficient split system air conditioner that allows great flexibility of installation. It is composed of an evaporator (air handler) which is installed in an overhead locker or cupboard and a separate condenser that is usually installed in the back of a floor level cupboard. The air handler has an attractive brilliant white fascia panel (cool air discharge) that will blend with any existing colour scheme.

The Heron 3 is:

• Normally suitable for caravans, motor homes and pop tops up to 7m

• Supplied with an innovatively designed condenser that requires no inside access. Cupboards and shelves can be built right up to the unit as all required maintenance access is from the outside.

• Able to give year round comfort with its ventilating, cooling and heating modes.

Sizing

The Heron is recommended for vans up to 36 cubic metres but assumes that walls and ceilings are insulated with a minimum of 25 mm of rockwool or foam. Windows should all have shades or curtains as a minimum.

If the van is to be used mainly in extreme conditions (40 degC plus or high humidity) then be conservative. Ensure that the best instulation is installed. Consider double glazed windows and use the only on vans of 4.8 metres.

Air command strongly recommends the use of an experienced installer for fitting. In most states of Australia it is a requirement by law the connection of refrigerant lines be carried out by a licenced tradesperson.
